The G22 BMW 4 Series has surfaced on several occasions previously, initially on a transporter truck and then running tests at the Nurburgring Nordschleife. this latest example seen here is likely a four-cylinder version, as opposed to the unit lapping the Nurburgring which was wearing Cerium Grey highlights on its side mirror covers and its wheels, along with the fitment of trapezoidal exhaust outlets; cues which signify the six-cylinder M340i model on the G20 sedan.

Unveiled at the same location as the Z4 Concept in 2017, the third-gen Z4 replaces a seven-year model that was past its prime. Drawing cues from both the Z4 Concept and the 8 Series, the new Z4 raises above the competition in just about every department.
